DRM held its year end tournament in a 2 day competition at the hazardous RBA GC and the lush jungly greens of Royal Jerudong park garden GC. It was a really hot sunny day and the final day at Jerudong GC witnessed the downfall of some prominent names in the DRM elites. Hundreds of balls were lost, irons and drivers broke into pieces and many tears were shed. The final day was truly a test of survival for the fittest and at the end of the day only 8 survives with tales to tell.
Unfortunately my score was nothing close to the top 8 champions. I however made it to the hall of fame as i pin down a 12 inch to the hole at par 3@ hole no 6. However..a birdie opportunity turns out to be a stupid boggie as i was mentally disrupted and it ended up with 2 extra putts before it dives down the hole..arghh!. At the end of the day i came out of the club with a mighty headache, burnt skin, 2 cube of balls and a set of iron covers..not bad eh!
Congrats to all the winners and wish you all the best in your golf careers. Next year will be a challenging year as rumours has it that the DRM captain is thinking to use a golf software to calculate handicaps and will lower handicap to a minimum of 24 only. The 8 names were:
